Born in 1986, Andrea Kim Mariani is a professional photographer who lives in Rome. Nephew of director Roberto Rossellini and son of architect Gepy Mariani, Kim demonstrated interest in visual arts from an early age.
After graduating from the International Center of Photography in New York and the Centro Sperimentale ADAMS in Rome, he actively participated in several Tuscany Photographic Workshops before working under photographer Paolo Roversi for Vogue Paris and Gianmarco Chieregato in Rome.
He attended several of Bob Sacha and Lynn Saville’s workshops and his recurrent encounters with the likes of McCurry and Testino have influenced and shaped his talent.
Since 2009 Kim has been working as main photographer and graphic designer for PalazziGas, a high-end event production company based in Rome. Kim is the official photographer for Spoleto’s The Festival dei 2 Mondi commissioned by AGF and for the International film Festival in Rome.
He is also photographer for Favignana’s Yacht Club in Sicily and Alta Roma’s fashion events.
In the summer season 2014 Kim was engaged for the famous dj Davide Squillace and for the web blog bcurious.com partecipating at all the main music festivals around Europe as Sonar, Parklife, Ibiza and Tomorrowland.
In 2013 he opened his studio in the heart of Rome.
In 2015 Kim has been called by the fashion company of Fendi for editorial pictures, web communication, events and the new project “F is For…”.
